This summer went by undeniably fast. It feels like just yesterday that I was driving home from my freshman year of college with almost four months of summer time in front of me. Now with only a few weeks left until I have to pack up my bags and head on into my sophomore year, I have collected a series of favorite trends, products, etc, that I have been loving this summer. Excluding from my amazing friends and family and the memories that have been made this summer, here are my summertime favorites.

Glossier Sunscreen

I have to wear sunscreen to the beach or else I will come home looking like a literal lobster. However, I really hate the greasy and uncomfortable feeling of sunscreen itself, which makes me less willing to keep reapplying it, though I do know that sunscreen is incredibly important. I picked up the Glossier sunscreen for the specific reason that I hate the feeling of sunscreen. This sunscreen feels more like the Clinique gel moisturizer than anything else. It is light weight, odorless, and does not feel like it is clogging my pores. I primarily use it on my face and neck and I really feel like the SPF is high enough to keep my skin protected from the sun. Though it is a little pricey for a small bottle, I have used this almost every day this summer and I still have not run out!

Dolce Vita Wedges

I like to accessorize, but with shoes I am pretty basic and simple. I usually have one reliable pair of simple wedges that can go with everything and this summer I decided to turn in my old ones and replace them with these Dolce Vita Wedges. I absolutely have loved these shoes this summer- so much so that I think I am going to get a second pair for this fall! They are incredibly comfortable, especially because they are not super tall, and can be worn casually with jeans or with a dress for a more formal occasion. I have worn these shoes to death this summer and I cannot wait to transition them into the fall. Since I have such a neutral color, they are incredibly versatile and really pull together a look, as opposed to just wearing flip flops or something of the sort.

Dainty Gold Jewelry

While I may not accessorize with my shoes, this summer I really have been trying to step up my jewelry game. Have I been successful? I am not positive, but I am still going to work on it this fall! Typically, I used to just wear the same necklace, bracelets, and earrings with every outfit. This summer, however, I was inspired by a lot of influencers and bloggers (specifically Song of Style and WeWoreWhat) and decided to try to amp up my jewelry. Keeping this in mind, I tried to pick up pieces when I was out shopping, which really is not something I would normally do because I am usually more concentrated on clothing than the little accessories. I really love layering gold dainty necklaces, usually a choker, mid-length necklace, and then a longer one. For earrings, I love love love the gold hoop trend. I have a pair of big gold diamond hoops that I have been wearing with even more casual outfits, like light wash jeans and a crop top. I also got some smaller gold ones from Madewell, which sneaky has really good accessories, that I have been wearing almost every day. The gold hoop trend is totally something I am going to carry into the fall.

While summer was to short, as it always is, I cannot wait for the next one to come around!
