I wore another piece from Princess Polly the other day (who is surprised) and I absolutely loved it! Not only is this romper so stinkin cute, but it also is SO comfortable: 100% obsessed with Princess Polly and I cannot wait to place another order with them soon. Throw on some cute sneaks and sunnies and you've got yourself the perfect summer outfit!

Where I've Been Doing My Summer Shopping

by Sophie Langlois

Brandy Melville for staple tops: reliable, affordable, and simple.

I love Brandy Melville because it is always there to supply me with those cute and casual summer essential tops that I can just throw one with some jeans or even over a bathing suit.

Pants from Forever 21 (similar ones found here) and Nike Air Force Ones

Forever 21 for the trendy pieces: printed pants, graphic t-shirts, two-piece sets

I have never been a huge Forever 21 shopper, but this season I would skim through it and pick up a few things that I thought were cute and would be trendy this summer. Its a great place to find things that you're not completely positive you will love, but want to try out. The quality is usually pretty good and the prices are awesome, so I would totally recommend Forever 21 for any occasion, especially when you're looking to fill your closet with some of the latest trends.

Asos for pants and swim

Asos is one of the first places I go to, regardless of the season. I love their prices, the quality, and the accessibility of the website. They also have an AWESOME app that I use literally all the time. This season, I bought a few pairs of flowy pants, a swimsuit, and sunglasses from them thus far. I genuinely do love this brand, plus they give a 15% student discount!

Free People and Princess Polly for summer dresses

Free People has been a reliable brand that I have loved for many years. They can be a little pricey sometimes, but they really do have a great variety in their pricing and types of clothing. Each season I usually pick up a few pieces from Free People and this season I have been LOVING their dress selection - simple, unique, and pretty.

Princess Polly is a pretty new brand for me. I found it through Margot Lee, my blogging role model and inspiration, and I absolutely love their stuff. Great prices, always on trend, and very fun! One thing I would say is that since it is Austrialian sizing, go a size up then what you normally are! (use code margoxx for 20% off your order!)

Zara for tops

Again, another staple brand in my wardrobe. I love Zara for all things, especially shoes and accessories, but this season I have really been finding some fun and unique tops, especially for denim skirts and pants.

Lou and Grey for the basics

I love Lou and Grey, always have always will. While they do not have anything crazy or out of the box and most of their stuff is leisure wear, their clothing is made incredibly well and lasts for a very long time (not to mention every product is usually super DUPER soft). I found an awesome pair of jeans as well as a few sweaters and a pair of cotton shorts that I love, and correspondingly bought in every color they have.

Happy Spring (summer is just around the corner, hang in there)!

4 Trends for this Spring and Summer

by Sophie Langlois

1. Cat Eye Glasses Will Continue

I jumped on the cat eye sunglass trend and I don't think I'll ever jump off! I bought a pair of white cat eye sunnies from Asos, a look alike to the trendy LesSpec's pair, and I am in love! I was a little nervous about how they would look on my face, but I am growing to learn that even if you think something won't look good on you, you've got to give it a try.

2. Solid Printed Bikini's

I've been seeing a lot of simple, symmetrical, and solid printed bikini's on the market this season, more specifically in Triangl and Frankie's Bikinis most recent collections. Contrary to popular belief, I do love a minimalist look every now and then so I will very much be rocking this trend. Moreover, I have found that a lot of the higher quality suits this spring have been a little bit thicker more scuba material, which I love because I feel like it sucks you in and makes you feel like you're a little bit more covered and secure in the suit!

3. Two Piece Sets: Are They Coming Back Again?

Matching two piece sets were a huge fall trend two seasons ago and I have always loved them. I think they're fun and really can be a statement outfit, even if the set itself is neutral. I have been seeing a lot of these on the market for the summer from all different types of brands, from Asos to For Love and Lemons. While buying two piece sets together is great, you can always make your own by finding similar colored pieces or all white or black outfits, which is super fun to do: add a bright shoe and the look is yours!

4. Small Round Straw Bags

I have been seeing these everywhere beginning in March: they are the rage! While I think this will likely just be a trendy piece for this season, meaning I don't recommend going out and buying a super expensive version of this, they are super fun as a beach bag or just cute with any outfit. I love the summery feeling that they give and think they would look super cute with a pair of slides and a long summery skirt. I will 100% be adding this piece to my summer wardrobe, you can count on that!

5. Flip flop slides

My mom has been sending me links to these shoes ALL THE TIME. They are the rage this spring and all of the fashion icons have been wearing them! Similar to the straw bags, I do think they are a trend so I won't be investing in super expensive ones, but finding some reasonably priced and fun colored slides is totally on my list. I think they add a nice pop of color to a lot of the more neutral outfits I have been seeing this season!

Happy spring!
