Megan's New Years OOTN Dec 31. 2014- Jan 1. 2015

by Sophie Langlois

Check out my stunning, model friend Megan and her New Years Eve outfit! Look how gorgeous she is in her super chic and stylish black jump suit. Not only are jump suits so in right now, but they are also very flattering on any body type. On Megan, her jump suit really compliments her long model legs where as a jump suit on my short body would help to make me look taller. I love this jump suit because it is so simple yet edgy at the same time. I love how it is strapless and has a leather like bodice and then just flows down at the legs with a silky material, such a gorgeous piece. I think that keeping the accessories very minimal was a perfect choice by Megan because it really makes the jump suit stand out. Just a simple sandal with a little bit of bling or some sort of glitter is perfect. If your jump suit was a little bit more casual than Megan's and you wanted to dress it up for New Years or even a night out, you could always add a bold statement necklace or a cool colored leather jacket. All in all Megan's outfit was perfect and defiantly something I am going to try and recreate in the new year!!

Happy New Years :)

New Years Fashion Inspiration

by Sophie Langlois

Need some new years fashion inspiration? Well I put together two simple yet beautiful looks for you to build an outfit from. The first look is a little more casual, more like something you could wear to a casual dinner or party at someones home. The second however, is a little bit more glam and sparkly, perfect for a night out on the town or a fancy dinner party.

Look Number One: The LKD (Little Knit Dress)

For the first look, I kept it simple yet flirty with a little knit dress from Bailey 44. I love knit dresses because they are so cozy but also very flattering to any body type. They are not super tight like a body con dress but they still hug your body nicely. I love the subtle green and black stripes on this dress. I think that they are a festive addition to the dress and make it more unique than just your average black dress. I wore a pair of black tights and my black Hoss booties with this dress as well. I thought that the tights and the booties made it a lot more casual. For my jewlery, I kept it simple with my classic gold floating cross and gold heart from Isabelle Harvey. If you want to dress this outfit up more, you could add a cute pair of black heels and a black blazer or casual "tuxedo" style jacket.

Dress: Bailey 44

Look Number Two: Two Piece Black Set with some Sparkles

For the second look, I wanted to do something that was a little more bold and dressed up. So, I threw on my black two piece set from Bloomingdales. I love love love the whole set pieces trend right now and think that the matching sets are so cute and unique. The black crop top is just the average cut of a normal cropped top except for the fact that it has cuffed sleeves and also is a little bit long than average, which I like because it always keeps my stomach covered. The skirt is pretty simple as well. It is a circle cut skirt with a slight poof out at the bottom. The cool thing about this black set is that it has all of these cool designs printed into the fabric so that when you are close up you can see it! I wore a pair of black tights to keep me warm and then threw on my Hoss wedged booties again. Lastly, I put on my bold statement neckalce from J. Crew. I think that this necklace really ties the look together and adds a much needed sparkle to the outfit, perfect for New Years. If you wanted to dress this look up even more, you could add a bright colored blazer, maybe pink, and also wear a pair of black pumps.

OOTD Dec. 24. 2014

by Sophie Langlois

Today was just one of those cozy winter days where I just did not want to get out of bed. However, once noon rolled around I knew it was time I had to get up and moving! For simple and casual days like these, I lean more towards jeans and a cute shirt, something that I feel comfortable and confident in. Today I wore a pair of Paige Jeans in their Verdugo Ultra Skinny cut. These jeans are my second favorite, my Hudsons being the first, and I find them to be very flattering and forgiving. They are super stretchy and form nicely to my body. I have had these jeans for a few years and they have really held up through the wash, the overall quality of these jeans are great! For my shoes, I wore a pair of Tory Burch black high boots. Now usually I am more of a brown girl when it comes to boots, as I find them to be more casual and go with more outfits, but what I really love about these boots is the gold zipper and charm detailing they have on the back. What I like about the gold on the shoes is that it really ties in with my gold accessories that I always wear and really complements the whole look. For my shirt, I wore a Free People "We the Free Striped Sunset Park Thermal". I absolutely love every single one of Free Peoples thermals. The material that they are made out of is so soft and stretchy it is like wearing a blanket!! They also keep you very warm and are great for the winter! I love the high low/ cut outs on the sides of this shirt. I think that it really adds something unique and different to it rather than just being your average t shirt. I layered a lacy Free People bandeau under the shirt to add a little peak a boo of lace to make the outfit a little bit more unique. For my accessories, I wore the usual gold cross layered with my gold heart necklace!

Happy Holidays :)

Whether you're in Vail, Chamonix or Woodstock every girl needs a fabulous winter outfit to wear around what ever little ski village you are in! There is something so magical about walking around a small little ski town with all of its golden lights and holiday buzz. For my winter outfit, I wore the classic winter time shoe, my L. L. Bean traditional Bean Boot. For pants I wore a pair of black Lu Lu Lemon Leggings to keep my legs nice and warm. For my sweater, I wore a long, high low Free People white knit sweater and over that I wore my favorite black fur vest. Even without the addition of my coat and bag, this outfit is already super chic and wintery. However, when you add a long hooded fur coat and an awesome printed mini satchel it really makes the whole "winter resort" look come together!! I wore my coat draped over my shoulders so that I could strap my bag around my shoulders and I loved how the coat looked, so be sure to try that out. Oh and be sure you don't forget your favorite knit hat! I wore my dark grey knit hat with a little fur pom pom on the top to keep me warm and cozy :)

Happy Monday :)
