Black on black on red?! When it comes to the fall and winter seasons I feel like every single person I pass is wearing blacks and greys and dark blues. Why?! Just because it is freezing cold and gets darker at like 2:00 in the afternoon doesn't mean you have to dress like you're going to a funeral everyday! This dark and cold weather should be more of a reason to bring in some color to your outfit. Now I don't mean that you should wear white jeans after Labor Day to bring in color to your outfit but burgendies, army greens and light or chestnut browns can be great colors to add to an outfit! Here I have on a pair of bright red skinny jeans by Rag and Bone. They have these cool black metallic zippers up the sides of the pants at the bottom that add a nice edgyness to the look! For the rest of the outfit I have on a black chasmere v neck sweater from bloomingdales and my black cropped tuxedo jack by Elie Tahari and of course my black matte vans. Now I could have just worn a pair of black jeans or leggings with this outfit however, by putting on a bright pant it adds an ever so needed pop of color to my outfit! Trust me here, a little color can go alone way!!

happy Thursday :)

Channeling my inner Carrie Underwood on her days off! This outfit is casual, comfortable and a little bit countryesque. On the bottom I have my all time favorite tall boots by Frye in chestnut brown. These boots are deffinatly worth the investment. They can be worn with almost anything from dresses to jeans! Here's a tip: keep them in good condition by getting them cleaned every year and using boot inserts to help them keep their shape. I got my boot inserts at the container store but you can pretty much get them anywhere. For pants I have on a pair of light wash Hudson Mid Rise Niccos, suprise! I know I've said this before but these are the best pair of jeans in the whole entire world. They are pretty much the only type of jeans I wear and if you haven't given into buying a pair yet you deffinatly should! On top I am wearing an oatmeal colored long knit sweater from Brandy Melville. It's so comfortable it feels like I'm wearing my pajama top! For my coat I have on my J. Crew classic twill chino military coat. I love the way the green of this coat ties in with the brown in my boots and sweater. This outfit is a definate keeper and is perfect for any casual event from going to school, lunch with the girls or a Sunday football game!

happy Tuesday;)

Featured Post of My Best Friends and Their OOTN

by Sophie Langlois

In need of some more fashion inspiration for an OOTN? Well here it is! Check out my gorgeous friends and their outfit choices for a Saturday night out on the town. All three of them chose their outfits to exemplify their personal style and thats what its all about! Wearing what you love and what makes you feel fabulous is the best type of outfit. From left to right here are the descriptions :)

Grace: Classy with a Bold Earring

Check out my gorgeous friend Grace in her classy navy blue dress, black sweater and cute pumps. Her outfit is so stylish and preppy! I loved the addition of her bold gold earrings to liven up the look. It is amazing what a big earring or necklace can do to liven up a simple pretty girl look! Her navy blue dress was so chic and I loved the addition of the little ruffle at the bottom.

Shoes: J. Crew Nude Wedges

Dress: G Stage

Sweater: J. Crew

Campbell: Bold Colors

Up next is my stunning friend Campbell in her bold red dress and sparkly gold shoes. A little red dress is a definite must to have in your closet to turn to. I loved the way she styled her outfit! It is hard to find the right accessories and shoes to go with such a bold color but she mastered it perfectly. The gold sparkly heels with a peep toe go so well with this outfit. Along with her gold monogram necklace and gold bangle bracelets, the amount of gold is perfect to tie in with the red.

Dress: Tobi

Jewelry: Isabelle Harvey

Meghan: Edgy Glam

Lastly, but certainly not least, is my dazzling friend Meghan in her edgy black romper. This outfit was so cool and chic! Not only was her romper so comfortable, but it was also super trendy and fun! Her strappy black wedges tie in perfectly with the criss cross straps on the front of her romper. She also had on a thin white beaded head band on which was such a cute addition to her look. All together, her look was such a fun, chic and edgy outfit to wear for a girls night out!

Night out on the town with your girlfriends or fancy date night out, this outfit is perfect for any night time event. Bold prints are so in right now and I am so into them! This little grey and black "snake skin" print dress is from Aqua by Bloomingdales and I absolutely love it. It is so comfortable and a nicer, more flattering version of those tight body con dresses. I kept it simple with the jewelry, just wearing a white Hermes cuff and a pearl bracelet, so that I could go bold with the shoes and dress. For my shoes I have on a pair of black felt Sam Edelman pumps. I got these shoes for a formal even last year and was not sure how I would be able to re-wear them but now I find myself pairing them with everything. They are very bold but surprisingly they go with a lot of outfits! I then put on a black Elie Tahari cropped motorcycle jacket. This jacket is so perfect for going out at night. It is light weight but still keeps you warm and the cut of it makes it look chic and stylish. You could wear this jacket with a pair of jeans and a white blouse to dinner or you could wear it with a fancy dress- defiantly a win win. For my clutch I carried a black Tory Burch zip up bag. Inside of it I had a travel sized version of my favorite perfume and a little bit of make up for touch ups throughout the night!
