Whenever I open my closet to get ready to go to a Saturday sports game, I always struggle. I want to look cute and stylish, but I also want to wear things that will keep me warm and cozy while I'm standing outside for two hours watching my friends run up and down a field in freezing cold weather. I have to say that over time, I think I have mastered the look. The key to success is a stylish fall/ winter transition coat. You want something that is long so it will keep some of your lower body warm, but you don't want to look an old grandma. Here I have on a grey and black long coat with gold details and faux fur trim from Laundry by Shelli Secal. This coat is perfect because it is long and keeps me very warm but also has cool and trendy hardware. Their are two tassels around the waist that you can pull to draw in your waist and make it look super cute. The faux fur hood is the perfect amount of fur. It is just enough subtle detail so that it does not look tacky. Underneath it I have on a dark purple and thin red stripped Free People "We the Free Sunset Park Thermal". On the bottom I have a pair of black Lu Lu Lemon leggings on. These leggings are the best and keep my legs very warm. The material they use is very flattering and does not let in the cold at all- they are much warmer than wearing just a pair of jeans. For shoes I have on a pair of black motorcycle boots by Nine West from their Vintage America collection. Most importantly, I have on this super cute and super fun dark grey hat with a faux fur pom pom on the top. I love this new fall hat trend!! I think the hats are such a cute addition to any wardrobe or outfit. If the pom pom is a little too out there for you, you can unclip it from the top. This hat is by Almar and I absolutely love it! Don't forget to pair it with your favorite sunglasses!

Happy Saturday :)

Today was one of those days where I just felt like dressing up my look a little! However, my main priority is always comfort. My mom and I always say "if it's not comfortable enough to sleep in, don't buy it." These skater girl shorts are the most comfortable pair of dressy shorts I own. I got them at Bloomingdales from their brand Aqua. The shorts look like a super dressy skirt in the front but then -- bam -- you see the back and it is a pair of shorts ! Best invention ever! I never have to deal with pulling my skirt down or crossing my legs ever again.

I paired the shorts with a pair of black tights and my black faux leather vans to make it more of a fall grunge look. Then on top I wore a crew neck cotton 3/4 length t shirt from Gap in my go to fall color, burgundy! Then I layered the shirt with a grey cashmere hoodie tip up. This sweater is a staple in my closet year round. It so comfortable and adds a nice touch to any look. The best part about this outfit, I look like I put some effort in when really I still feel like I'm wearing my pajamas :)

Feeling a little soft grungey today and channeling my inner Kylie Jenner with a slight preppy twist! On the bottom I have my burgundy loafers from Nordstrom, a must have for the fall. I wear these shoes all the time; they are so comfortable and give any outfit a cute and subtle pop of color! Then I have on my TAJ leggings from Bloomingdales. I've always wanted to get into the faux leather trend for this season but I had some trouble toning it down. These leggings are perfect for that! They have a subtle faux leather paneling from the knee down. On top I have a black and white stripped pull over "sweatshirt shirt" that has zipper detailing up both sides from Lou and Grey. Then over it I have my J. Crew classic twill chino military jacket. This is a great addition to anyone's wardrobe. You can throw it on over almost any outfit to give it that more fall, edgy look! Lastly, I kept the jewlery simple with a gold cross necklace and a pearl bracelet.

You know those cold fall Sundays days when all you want to do is curl up in your favorite flannel and sweatpants and watch Netflix? Don't be afraid to admit it, we've all been there. Well here is a twist on that look to make it, I don't know, more socially acceptable when you're running around town. On the bottom I am wearing the classic L.L Bean boots with a pair of comfy cashmere socks to keep my feet warm. Then I have on my go to black jean, the Hudson Nico mid rise skinnes, they are a must have essential in every woman's closet. Then I have a splendid crew neck long sleeved t, layered with one of my favorite flannels that I got from a small store in Vermont. Then I accessorized with a gold "S' necklace from Isabelle Harvey. This is the perfect comfortable yet cute fall outfit. Although it is not as comfortable as your old warn in sweatpants, it sure comes close to it.
