Fall is a time for apple picking, flannels, and festive drinks from Starbucks. Yet, it is also the time for school, school, and more school. Getting back into the swing of things after a good three month break is always hard, and in my senior year I've found this year to be one of the hardest. I have late nights studying and early mornings. My stress level has been much higher, my sleep levels have been much lower, and, thus, my skin has really taken a beating. However, aside from my normal skincare routine, I have been using these two killer products to save my skin and keep it fresh and make me look awake, even when I've only gotten about four hours of sleep.
1. Laura Mercier Flawless Skin Repair Eye Serum
I bought this eye cream in April after the woman who did my makeup for prom recommended it. She used it as a primer for my eyes and I swear on my life it actually made not only my make up stay better and not crease, but it also made my under eyes look brighter, in a good way. Yes, it is on the pricey side; however, if you are willing to make the investment, I highly recommend it. I've been using one small pump a day and it really makes me look awake, keeps my under eyes moisturized, and provides a good solid base, even on the days when I probably should be taking a sick day.
2. Mario Badescu Skin Care Drying Lotion
Let's face it, everyone gets pimples: Its a known thing, and the added stress of back to school does not help at all. This stuff REALLY works. I've tried a lot of spot treatments and I have never found one that I feel like it actually did something. With this stuff, I see results over night. It dries out the pimple itself, yet it does not dry out the skin around it! The fall is already drying out my skin enough, I don't need a product I'm using to do that as well! I put this on after I have washed and moisturized and then let it skin in over night. In the morning, I wash it off with warm water and, voila, the pimple is smaller and less irritated then the night before. Magic in a bottle.
May the fall bring you cute outfits, gorgeous weather, and very little stress.
Xoxo,
Salut Sophie
